POISON Singer Eyed For Film
November 9, 2004On hand in the VIP section at POISON singer Bret Michaels' capacity show at Joe's Bar in Chicago on Saturday, November 6 were Rikki Lee Travolta and wife Sonia, who were there to consider Bret for a character in the upcoming film adaptation of the best-selling novel "My Fractured Life".
After the show, the couple had high praise for Michaels, who also got good reviews on his performance from a third Travolta family member in the audience. Rikki Lee and Sonia are expecting their second child and reported the baby-in-the-belly kicked up its heels and danced the night away once Michaels took the stage.
"Bret Michaels has a brilliant charisma that could translate well to film," commented Rikki Lee Travolta.

When a promising young actor from a famous entertainment family commits suicide, the faded star that finds him must confront the demons that caused the estrangement of their friendship.
Tempering tragedy with dark comedy, "My Fractured Life" details a world of has-been and never-were stars struggling for survival in the underbelly beneath the glamorous society of Hollywood's elite.
Actors once considered "movie stars" swallow their pride as they slide down the ladder of fame to "movie-of-the-week stars." One-time celebrities who try to leave the tinsel world behind discover there is little calling for former stars in the real world job market.
The film adaptation of "My Fractured Life" is being produced in partnership with Port Magee Pictures.
Michaels is currently on tour promoting his upcoming solo album, "Freedom of Sound".
Although Michaels is best known for his achievements in rock music, the album's first single, "All I Ever Needed", and corresponding video are being embraced by country audiences and earning play on country radio stations, VH1 Country and Great American Country.
